NO THOUGHT NOVEMBER

A four week series to somatically digest life. Somatic Experiencing is a method working through fight flight and freeze energy through the limbic system.

By separating from thought and following the impulse of sensation, we come to understand the language of the animal body. In this simplicity the mind becomes a helpful tool instead of the compulsive manager.

We will learn how to digest our energy in a taoist-inspired & trauma-informed way that seeks to sustainably expand instead of seeking “release” or breakthrough.

About One Love Prison Meditation

One Love Prison Meditation Project brings mindfulness and coaching into prisons as an act of love and resistance. Their work reminds incarcerated people of their shared humanity in a system built on dehumanization. Through weekly & biweekly in-person classes, participants learn to regulate their bodies, meet their emotions with compassion, and access a sense of freedom that cannot be taken away. Each class becomes a quiet revolution; restoring dignity, connection, and belonging where the state has stripped it away.

About Tim Bryant, Founder and Executive Director of OLPM:

Tim has served incarcerated folks of Muslim, Christian, Buddhist and Atheist beliefs for over 20 years with hundreds of programs with mindfulness and 1-1 coaching.

You will takeaway:

+ A new understanding of what “somatics” means through experience & theory so you can apply to your daily life or practice

+ A space for you to slow down and bring ease and a sense of moving through life’s contractions and expansion

+ An unpacking of stuck or stuffed emotions that may have felt like too much to process previously

+ Renewed lightness and presence

+ A felt sense of safety in your own body that does not depend on external circumstances

+ Language to describe what your nervous system is doing so you can meet it with compassion instead of shame

+ Tools to interrupt freeze, overthinking, and urgency with curiosity and grounding

+ Practices for reconnecting to pleasure, creativity, and aliveness after long periods of survival mode

+ A way to discern between genuine rest and emotional shutdown

+ A community of others who are committed to healing without performing wellness
